Krogan Panzer – by clerkenwell

Build Title:

Krogan Panzer – by clerkenwell

Power Evolutions:

Tech Armor: Durability (4), Melee Damage (5), Durability (6)
Lift Grenade: Radius (4), Max Grenades (5), Damage and Radius (6)
Incinerate: N/A
Krogan Berserker: Weapon Damage (4), Headshots (5), Weapon Damage (6)
Rage: Durability (4), Martial Artist (5), Fitness Expert (6)

Weapons:

Primary: A big, heavy shotgun. I like to stick to my Krogan roots and carry the Claymore. Put a Blade Attachment on it.

Secondary: A big, heavy sniper. I like the Widow.

Strategy:

Obviously your recharge speed is going to suffer horribly with this weapon loadout, but that’s why you ignore cooldown powers completely (just Incinerate for this class). The spec emphasizes durability, and with 1600 shields, 1200 health, and 40% damage reduction (70% while raging) this is the most durable build in the game. It also emphasizes increased weapon damage giving your heavy hitting weapons a significant boost. With a sniper and a shotgun you’re deadly at any range, but the build is most fun when you’re smacking things around. Take the time to carefully build yourself into a rage, picking off lone, weaker enemies. Husks are especially great for this. Once you’re in Rage mode, you can take a ridiculous amount of punishment. I haven’t tried it on Gold yet, but on Silver, you can easily charge a pack of Geth that includes 3 Pyros and multiple Troopers and come out with your shield intact. You can charge a turret, eat missiles, one-shot Centurions, Marauders, etc. with a heavy melee. The toughest part is recognizing when you’re finally outmatched and should beat a quick retreat and start thinning the ranks with your Widow. Always keep in mind that you can wreak havok at any range, don’t be too eager to rush into melee.

N00b Rating (scale 1-5, 1 is easy for everybody!)

2. This is, quite simply, the most durable build in the game. The only difficulty comes in mastering your chosen weapons and learning to recognize when you need to retreat. It’s very easy to get carried away!

Demo-Dude the Phantom Hunter – by mysticforce42

Build Title:

Demo-Dude the Phantom Hunter – by mysticforce42

Power Evolution:
Adrenalin Rush: Damage (4), Duration (5),  Shield Boost (6)
Concussive Shot: N/A
Frag Grenade: Damage (4), + Grenades (5), Armor Piercing (6)
Alliance Training: Weapon Damage (4), Power Damage (5), Weapon Damage (6)
Fitness: Durability (4), Shield Recharge (5), Fitness Expert (6)

Weapon:

M-37 Falcon

Strategy:
See target(s), fire at target(s) at 0.5 seconds per shot unless you are hosting, at which point just mash the button.  Count as you fire.  When you reach 6, hit Adrenaline Rush, then continue to fire until you reload.  Then keep firing >.>

The grenades from the Falcon staggers every hit and has a decent area of effect, which means you can destroy a group of 3-4 phantoms on Gold if you manage to land at least 9 hits on each of them, and during all that time (about 12 seconds) the only thing they can do is stagger in place awaiting their doom.

This also works against any group of enemies that do not contain superheavies – you can stagger them until they die.  When in doubt, toss a Frag Grenade for another 1200 damage AoE – 1800 vs armor.

You can bounce grenades around corners.  You can aim high and airburst.  You can bounce a nade off a wall to hit Guardians in the back/sides.  You can stagger Banshees with every 2-3 shots.

The only downside to this build is the Falcon does not do great damage vs armor – that is where the armor-piercing frags come in.  Between your frags and your Falcon, you can murder entire room full of enemies (or severely damage 2-3 superheavies) within 12 seconds.

May the Reapers help anyone who stands in your way – just make sure to make frequent stops at ammo boxes to resupply.

N00b Rating: (scale 1-5, 1 is easy for everybody!)

2. Mostly because you get bigger bang for your buck if you can aim in such a way that each shot from the Falcon damages multiple enemies, otherwise you are going to be out of ammo really fast.

Turian Immobilizer – by elecbender

Posted in MULTIPLAYER BUILDS, SENTINEL, Turian Sentinel with tags , , , , , on March 13, 2012 by Lucien Midnight

Build Title:

Turian Immobilizer by elecbender

Power Evolutions:

Tech Armor: N/A
Warp: Damage (4), Expose (5), Pierce (6)
Overload: Chain Overload (4), Neural Shock (5), Chain Overload (6)
Turian Veteran: Damage and Capacity (4), Power Damage (5), Assault Rifles (6)
Fitness: Durability (4), Shield Recharge (5)

Weapons:

A high level Falcon is recommended for reduced cooldown but not required as you can use a power recharge bonus equipment.

Strategy:

The Falcon’s grenades stuns most enemies and this combined with Overload’s neural shock evolution basically makes most enemies not able to even shoot back. It also has the benefit of reducing the amount of grenades needed to kill an enemy such as Centurions, Phantoms, or Geth Rocket Troopers. Warp is there for a single target but most enemies may dodge the first Warp. If you see enemies, use Overload and just spam the Falcon. When the cooldown resets or you need to reload, use Overload again.

N00b rating: (scale 1-5, 1 is easy for everybody!)

2. This build is extremely friendly but works best with the Falcon which is a rare unlock.

Popular Turian Sentinel

Build Title:

Popular Turian Sentinel

Power Evolutions:

Tech Armor: Durability (4), Power Damage (5), Durability (6)
Warp: N/A
Overload: Chain Overload (4), Recharge Speed (5), Chain Overload (6)
Turian Veteran: Damage & Capacity (4), Power Damage (5), Damage & Stability (6)
Fitness: Durability (4), Shield Recharge (5), Durability (6)

Weapons:

Vindicator is the normal weapon for this build.

Strategy:

A decent rank Vindicator gives you the 200% recharge speed, and you more or less wander the map headshotting mobs and throwing out overload to stun a fair sized portion of the wave. The bonus damage reduction and shield size makes it pretty easy for you to get away from mobs and get to people that need to be rez’ed. Warp would be nice, but the people that are going to use the biotic explosions (Vanguards and Adepts) are going to have higher ranks of warp/stasis than you. Well, assuming you don’t gimp your survivability.

N00b Rating: (scale 1-5, 1 is easy for everybody!)

2. You can take a lot of hits before something kills you, and the stun on overload lets you escape pretty easily.

Basic Asari Adept

Posted in ADEPT, Asari Adept, MULTIPLAYER BUILDS with tags , , , , , , , on March 13, 2012 by Lucien Midnight

Build Title:

Basic Asari Adept

Power Evolutions:

Stasis: Duration (4), Recharge (5), Bubble (6)
Warp: Detonate (4), Expose (5), Pierce (6)
Throw: (1), (2), (3)
Asari Justicar: Damage and Capacity (4), Power Damage (5)
Fitness: Durability (4), Barrier Recharge (5), Fitness Expert (6)

Weapon:

Anything that give you near 200% recharge speed. I personally like using an Avanger X since, just comes down to what I want to use since the majority of the same I rarely shoot with my weapon.

Strategy:

Pretty much simple, place your bubble at choke points and you will CC up to 2 targets. Follow up the targets you hit with a warp (if it is a large group) or throw (smaller group just 1 or 2 targets). For single targets if you have room just warp and throw the target to trigger a biotic detonation. Armor targets cannot be cc’ed with stasis so just put distance between you and them and warp/throw spam. Biotic detonation is the bulk of you damage, further more the damage from biotic detonations scale with difficulty. The main thing to worry about running this is that you are squishy (i.e: 1 granade will 100 – 0 you if your within range on gold), don’t try to tank mobs and take cover whenever you can. Always watch your surroundings and be careful not to let things flank you or get too close to you. If enimies get too close and you need to get away, stasis it and move. Further more your roll skill drains your barrier, it’s not much, but if you spam it, it does add up.

Noob Rating: (scale 1-5, 1 is easy for everybody!)
2. Depends how aware you are of your surroundings. 5 if you get tunneled vision, 1 if you know what is going around you. Always keep track of what is around you or you will be spending a good chunk of time on the ground.
