Missile Mech – by G.J.

Build Title:
Missile Mech – by G.J.

Class:
N7 Destroyer Soldier

Power Evolutions:
Devastator mode: (4) weapon accuracy, (5) Rate of fire, (6) Max shields
Missile Launcher (4) Damage and force, (5) Armour damage, (6) Cobra missile
Multi-Frag grenade: (4) Force and damage, (5) max grenades,
T5-V Battlesuit: (4) weapon damage, (5) power damage, (6) weapon damage
T5-V Internal Systems: (1), (2), (3)

Weapons:
One of the best weapons to use with this class is assault rifles such
as the revenant, though the newly released N7 Typhoon (Ultra rare) is
the best character/weapon choice to go with.

Gear:
you can roll with either grenades or the assault rifle gear, whichever
you prefer. I personally use the assault rifle one, but thats because
i dont have the grenades one yet :P

Strategy:
Its pretty straightforward. Start of the game, press 1 to activate
devastator mode, press 2 to activate auto missile mode, and thats it.
you press 3 whenever you have clusters of enemies in front of you to
nuke them with your wrist mounted multi-frag grenade launcher (or
whatever your key config is), and mow down anything that dares to show
its face to you. the Typhoon will rip apart an atlas in 1 clip on
bronze and silver, and may require 1.5 clips on gold from what i
remember. It is extremely effective at dispatching all types of
enemies, though you might have some trouble against groups of
phantoms, specially if you’re not host. i think they seem to have
added another defence for the phantoms, an anti missile shield that
pops up whenever the auto-missile targets them, so be careful of that.
This build can work on bronze, silver and gold, though for gold there
may be a better alternative out there. since i usually play pugs, i do
silver and gold mostly and this worked well enough there.

N00b Rating: (scale 1-5, 1 is easy for everybody!)
2.5 you need to be aware of your surroundings. the
devastator mode takes up alot of space on your screen, but doesnt give
you the bonus such as the geth hunter mode’s wallhack, so it can be
easy to get flanked at times. (got shiv’d by a phantom twice in a row
because of that red “hud screen”), but other than that its pretty
simple and straightforward.

Professor Explosion – by Valhala Awaits

Build Title:
Professor Explosion – by Valhala Awaits

Class:
Salarian Engineer

Power Evolutions:
Decoy: Shields (4), Shock (5), Shields and duration (6)
Energy Drain: Radius (4), Drain (5), Armor boost (6)
Incinerate: N/A
Salarian Operative: Weapon damage (4), Headshots (5), Weapon damage (6)
Fitness: Health and shields (4), shields(5), Health and shields (6)

Weapons:

Tempest with heat sink and extended barrel. You will need incendiary or disrupter ammo.

Strategy:

OK, the plan here is tech bursts. This works great for Firebase White on Geth, or any other map where you can stand your ground while a bunch of synthetics come in packs (Reactor?). Incinerate is a great power but I find that I almost never use it, so we are leaving it out. The SMG and the Energy drain are almost useless at killing things by themselves, thats why we’re going to be BURSTING! When things start showing up, throw out that decoy. Spray everyone with disrupter bullets, keep energy drain going as often as possible. After a few energy drains, things start exploding all over the place, you got 10 kills, teammates grumble about all the lighting screwing up their targeting.
Repeat as necessary. Lead score board.
With a good cover spot, you can hold off any number of primes, pyros, and hunters; just don’t forget about that decoy!

The only tricky part is knowing when to bail.

Note: in place of disrupter ammo you can substitute fire ammo or a engineer friend chain overloading your targets.

N00b Rating: (scale is 1-5, 1 is easy for everybody!)
2.5. It takes some time to know when you can take them and when you’ve got to run. Usually when you decoy goes down and you’ve lost shields, its TTG.

Krogan Weapons Master – by Slininstien

Build Title:
Krogan Weapons Master – by Slininstien

Class:
Krogan Soldier

Power Evolutions:
Fortification: Durability(4) Power Synergy(5) Power Recharge(6)
Carnage:Damage(4) Recharge Speed(5) Armor Damage(6)
Inferno Grenade: Damage(4) Max Grenades(5) Armor Damage(6)
Krogan Berserker: Weapon Damage(4) Power Damage(5) Shotguns(6)
Rage: N/A

Weapons:
Any shotgun is an acceptable gun, I prefer the Claymore because it really packs a punch that no other shotgun can.
Attachment: Shotgun Spare Thermal Clip V and the Shotgun Shredder Mod V. If you Claymore is below level 8, I do suggest putting the damage attachment on to max it out. If you are curious to know why I chose the Shredder mod is because of phantoms and you can kill 2 guardians in 1 shot through the shield. Also, the shredder mod allows you to shoot the health of the phantom instead of the barriers at time, which means, one shot killing phantoms when you get a headshot.

If you do not like the claymore the geth plasma shotgun is a quick and easy switch.

Strategy:
Using your powers: As you can see, this build really focus’s on killing armored targets which is why i suggest facing reapers with this class. The class is much much better if you have a high level claymore( mine is at IX and I get a 95% recharge). The basic idea of this class is to use carnage whenever any enemy is at a far distance. The damage is massive and every enemy you can face has someone with armor you can destroy. Once the enemy does get close use the claymore/carnage combo. I HIGHLY suggest using the carnage to cut the reload speed of the claymore down with the reload trick. I do not enjoy Rage because everyone knows at wave 9, nobody want to see you running around trying to get rage on geth hunter. So, when times get sticky simply turn on fortification. Every time there was a recharge possibility I chose it because nobody wants the recharge speed to be suddenly 7 seconds instead of 2-3 in a sticky situation. Finally, inferno grenades are a good way to do massive DPS. The damage DOES stack, so throwing all of them at an enemy can potentially do over 400 damage per second.

Fighting the enemy:

Cerberus: Cerberus will the the trickiest team to face for the guy only because of the phantoms. You’ll need an adpet with you if you do encounter these guys but you should be fine. your claymore is a 2 shot kill to any enemy on the field and your carnage and grenades are set up to shred the armor of an Atlas, so watch out for the phantoms, but just spam the heck out of your carnage when there is someone at a distance and claymore it up when they are close.

Geth: The only trick that the geth with ever have with this build or any krogan is the amount of damage they will be able to deal up close. Again, I suggest having an adept nearby to freeze the hunters so you can carnage the pyros and prime without worry. STAY IN COVER against the geth. All of the geth actually have good weapons, unlike cerberus. Fortification may need to be on full time depending on you teams skill level. If you do ever get into a spot where hunters and pyro have you surrounded, detonate your fortification which stuns the enemy for a second and run as far away as possible.

Reapers: This is the enemy you will be excited to see (for once). Everything is set up to shred armor which every major enemy has. Like I’ve been saying over and over, use carnage like it is your long distance weapon. The special thing about using this class on reapers is that when you finally get that barrier down on the banshee, an inferno grenade will keep the barrier from recharging for a little while while you may go an get more ammo or recharge you shields. Reapers are the enemy that will allow you to have any other team mates their hearts desire and the only thing you have to care about is the pesky husks.

N00b Rating: (scale 1-5, 1 is easy for everybody!)
2.5. I’d give it a 2.5 because the necessary cover, the knowledge to do the quick reload, and the claymore is a 1 shot but devastating shotgun so lower levels will struggle in the use of staying alive with such a close range gun.

Appearance:
Primary: A16
Highlight: A18
Secondary: B16
Pattern: 1 or 2
Color: A18 or B18
Lights: B4
Skin color: Whatever you want

Good luck to you all with this version of the krogan soldier!

Gavorn’s Bane – by Frozenballz

Build Title:
Gavorn’s Bane – by Frozenballz

Class:
Vorcha Soldier

Power Evolutions:
Bloodlust: health regen (4), weapon damage (5), health regen (6)
Flamer: reach (4), damage (5), armour damage (6)
Carnage: N/A
Vorcha Resilience: weapon damage (4), power damage (5), weapon damage (6)
Fitness: durability (4), shield recharge (5), fitness expert (6)

Weapons:
Reegar Carbine X. Best weapon/character class synergy, plus makes you feel like a bosslike pyromaniac. Use damage and ammo capacity mods for the reegar so you have more ammo per clip (aka more damage)

Strategy:
Its pretty simple. activate bloodlust, find a group, melt their faces down. with certain enemies you dont even need cover.

against geth, your main enemies to be wary of will be rocket troopers and primes, since their weapons hit extremely hard. 3 rockets will down you, but with max regen you can survive hunters, pyros and normal geth troopers as well. this can tank a get prime, and will usually kill it before it kills you (if you have max regen active)

the reegar will melt anything it sees, including phantoms (who basically become target practice). the only downfall is that it has super short range and hogs ammo, so know the locations of those ammo crates and use cover to your advantage. fire a blast of the reegar, followed by a blast of the flamer, which will basically melt everything. if you take too much aggro and are below 3 bars, find some cover for a couple seconds.

N00b Rating: (scale 1-5, 1 is easy for everybody!)
2.5, pretty easy build to play, extremely effective at close range, but a bit of common sense is required, as with all classes. you cant rambo into 2 primes, 3 rocket troopers and hunters and expect to live even with full regen. there IS a limit, remember :p

Melee Synergy – by Viles

Build Title:
Melee Synergy – by Viles

Class:
Asari Vanguard

Power Evolutions:
Biotic Charge: Additional Targets (4), Weapon Synergy (5), Barrier (6)
Stasis: Duration(4), Recharge (5), Bubble (6)
Lift Grenades (3)
Asari Justicar: Damage & Capacity (4) Power and Force bonus (5)
Fitness: Melee Damage (4), Martial Artist (5), Melee Synergy (6)

Weapons:
I like a good light weight shotgun, Katana X is relatively easy to get until you
can level up a disciple.  I mod for the melee and either the choke or extended
barrel.  Choke gives a little better range, but sometimes I just want power.

Strategy:
Like many Asari Vanguard, I think the AOE melee is awesome, and maxing the fitness pool gives massive melee bonuses.   Melee is my #1 damage dealer and mob killer. I easily get 15 melee kills and 50 kills total.

Biotic charge fills up the barrier bar, but also puts me in position to melee
blast.  I feel like the extra targets (4) put a few people on their butt that
otherwise would be hitting me after a charge before I can melee blast the area.
May also be used to detonate my stasis or some else’s tech or biotic effect.

Stasis is generally my opener.  Bubble, let some mobs collect.  Sometimes
teamates start picking them off, sometimes I charge in to finish a group off.
I feel like extra damage in stasis (4) is a waste. Hit them with something
larger that the base stasis threshhold that also kills them. Stasis (5) I would
also rather have faster recharge all the time over occational instant cast
charge.

Grenades are nice, but I think they are fine at level 3.  They have their uses,
but certainly not a game changer.  If I had a great pistol, I might skip
grenades.

If I have 15 melee kills already, I like to point my shotgun at people laying on
the floor after a charge and finish them off.  I like to constantly keep moving,
so a one shot shotgun is better than keep a pistol or AR on a target, hence I
skip the pistol bonus 6th point in Justicar.

I have leveled this to 20 in bronze, promoted, and leveled to 20 again.  I am
working on Silver now with the idea that everything is different.

N00b Rating: (scale 1-5, 1 is easy for everybody!)
2.5.
