Date: February 22nd – February 24th
Event Description: A surprise Reaper assault inflicted deeply-felt casualties on our N7 teams and interrupted supply lines to several worlds. Many units will have to rely on standard-issue sidearms and munitions. We must honor and avenge our comrades who fell – and let the Reapers know this was a mistake, not a victory.
Individual Goal: Earn 50,000 points using Inferno Grenades and 50,000 points using the M-8 Avenger.
Reward: Commendation Pack and a special tribute banner

Time to dust off your old M-8 Avengers and pull out the Batarian Soldier and Krogan Soldier. For those who don’t know, this is likely an ode to the now late Robin Sachs who was the voice actor for Zaeed Massani. And tribute we shall, and while you’re hammering Reapers, Collectors, Geth and Cerberus with your Inferno Grenades, remember these words:

I just started playing ME3 Multiplayer this month, i bought more than 6 Reserves packs just for the chance to get a Krogan/Batarian soldier, but tough luck. I didn’t get either, so no weekend challenge achievement for me. :/

That’s rather unfortunate. But the odds, also unfortunately, weren’t in your favour. There are 39 rare character kits, and of them, 2 (the Krogan Soldier and the Batarian Soldier) have Inferno Grenades. Hopefully you find gaining all the new kits exciting as the DLC for ME3MP draws to a close in just over 48 hours! And I’m sure a worthwhile character came out of those six packs. Most, if not all, are Platinum viable with the right builds.

Yeah, i bought 15 (!) and didn’t get any of them either. At least i got the n7 Paladin, my new favourite “tech damage” character

The N7 Paladin is a very powerful class, I prefer to use him with the N7 Piranha. Of the Sentinels, he is probably my favourite.

I don’t have the Piranha yet, so i use the locust with Cryo ammo, since i upgraded my incinerate to do more damage on frozen enemies. Still, i’m trying to adapt to the shield heavy melee, it’s very diferent of what i’m used to.
