This is my boomstick – by Beleghost

Class:

Krogan Vanguard

Power Evolutions:

Biotic Charge: Force and Damage (4), Shotgun Synergy (5), Barrier (6)
Carnage: N/A
Barrier: Barrier Strength (4), Shield Recharge (5), Barrier Strength (6)
Krogan Battlemaster:  Damage and Capacity (4), Power Damage (5), *Personal Preference*(6)
Rage: Shields (4), Martial Artist (5), Fitness Expert (6)

Weapons:

Reegar Carbine or Piranha. Don’t consider anything else or you’re a quad-less Krogan. Take a shredder mod and whatever else you want to punch through Guardian Shields.

Gear:

Anything that gets you 20% or more to shield bonus is recommended. Shield Bonus itself is more useful as you’re a Vanguard and could care less about shield regen. I will note that with the Reegar some friends of mine prefer shotgun gear.

Strategy:

You’re a Krogan, if you’re playing Geth charge right into their faces and start unloading into Pyros and Hunters first and then focus on Primes or whatever else is nearby. The reason for this is Pyros and Hunters are the only geth capable of producing enough damage to overcome your barrier before you can charge again.

Now, if playing Reaper or Cerberus the class must be conservatively played. Charge, shoot, and melee anything that can’t instant kill you is fine. However, the moment an atlas, phantom, brute, or banshee is nearby, focus fire on them while moving backwards. This requires know your surroundings very well and also when they are going to get to close and running far before you’re too close and getting KOed (they seriously need to nerf those damn banshees or let Krogan stagger them, it’s annoying as hell). Remember Ravengers CANNOT shoot you at point blank so feel free to warp right into their ugly little faces. It takes time and patience not to just get up close and personal but floating between medium and short range is exactly where you want to be.

For the Piranha you won’t have to worry about weight as much as Kro-guards with Reegars. You guys will need to watch out as your charge with be a lot slower but at the benefit of much higher damage output.

N00b Rating: (scale 1-5, 1 is easy for everybody!)

2.5 because honestly if you’re a decent player and can follow my instructions I doubt you’ll almost ever get downed. Just watch those damn banshees!

Appearance:

I highly recommend some form of camouflage and matching lights. This guy has the most badass camouflage in the game. I use light blue, white, and light blue lights for mine.

I’m The Juggernaut B**** – By Reanimated Eggs

I’m The Juggernaut B**** – By Reanimated Eggs

Class:

Krogan Vanguard

Power Evolutions:

Biotic Charge – Radius(4), Melee Synergy(5), Barrier(6)
Carnage – N/A
Barrier – Barrier Strength(4), Shield Recharge(5), Power Recharge(6)
Krogan Battlemaster – Damage & Capacity(4), Power Damage(5), N/A(6)
Rage – Durability(4), Martial Artist(5), Fitness Expert(6)

Weapons:

Any shotgun that will keep you at 200%. I personally use the Eviscerator but i get like 3 kills with a gun in any given gold anyway.Any shotgun that will keep you at 200%. I personally use the Eviscerator but i get like 3 kills with a gun in any given gold anyway.

Gear:

Anything that provides bonuses to Shield Total/Recharge Speed and/or Melee damage (especially melee damage mods on the shotty).

Strategy:

As with most vaguard classes it is vital you do not encounter our signature glitch to ensure this host your own match.

I chose radius in Biotic Charge because it helps with the crowd control as your meleeing guy #1 in the face guys 2 and 3 are still dazed and will be served in a minute. I chose Power Recharge in Barrier because maintaining 200% recharge and constant shield regeneration is key. I left the last skill in Battlemaster open b/c the bonuses they provide are useless to this build and up for personal choice.

The entire point of this build is to CONSTANTLY use Biotic Charge and get kills via melee. At the start of the game hit barrier and never take it off. For any enemy save for the ones with the capability to instakill you are to biotic charge to them for easy travel / melee bonus and keep (heavy) meleeing until the enemy is well tenderized. Always keep biotic charge on cooldown to ensure shields stay up and you will be fine, regardless of how many enemies are in one spot. Now if you encounter a Guardian with a shield BC to expose him and blast away with the shotgun. Now the only thing i haven’t covered are those with instakill capability, there are a few such as the Phantom, Atlas, or Brute where if done correctly can keep you from being skewered or stomped. But if you see a Banshee I personally suggest staying away and taking her down slowly with a shotgun unless she is currently impaling one of your teammates like a doll guarantee-ing she wont (cant) do the same to you.

Eh, I’ll give ita 3.5, Just make sure BC is constantly used and to be VERY careful next to Instakill units( You may have 1850 Health/Shields but instakills dont care about that) and you will be running through enemies like a Juggernaut.

Murder Train – by Olafchief

Build Title:
Murder Train – by Olafchief

Class:
Krogan Vanguard

Power Evolutions:
Biotic Charge: Force and Damage (4), Melee Synergy (5), Barrier (6)
Carnage: N/A
Barrier: Barrier Strength (4), Shield Recharge (5), Barrier Strength (6)
Krogan Battlemaster:  Damage and Capacity (4), Power Damage (5), Weapon Damage (6)
Rage: Melee Damage (4), Martial Artist (5), Fitness Expert (6)

Weapons:
Geth Plasma Shotgun (with barrel and clip mods) is recommended.  The Graal is equally good.  Use whichever one is highest level.  The Claymore is not really recommended due to the weight and one shot nature.

Strategy:
Despite the name, conservative play is required for success with the Krogan Vanguard.  Charging into the middle of a group of enemies is stupid and shouldn’t be done with the Krogan.

The more effective strategy is to slowly but steadily wear down the enemies by using melee and weapon attacks to kill and biotic charge to recharge the barrier as you take hits.  The Barrier ability should be turned on and not detonated, as it is there to help you absorb incoming fire.  When it comes to larger enemies, use your Shotgun and biotic charge to wear them down, and finish with a melee.  Rage mode should be active if possible to increase weapon damage.

Take note: cooldown is strictly to ensure that biotic charge is available as much as possible to help keep you alive.

N00b Rating: (scale 1-5, 1 is easy for everybody!)

3. Incredible survivability and power if you aren’t stupidly charging into large groups of enemies and getting killed.
