Rannoch Swamp Fox – by GordianKnot42

Build Title:
Rannoch Swamp Fox – by GordianKnot42

Class:
Quarian Infiltrator

Power Evolutions:
Tactical Cloak: Duration (4), Recharge Speed (5), Bonus Power (6)
Sticky Grenade: Radius (4), Max Grenades (5), Damage (6)
Sabotage: Backfire (4), Explosive Hack (5)
Quarian Defender: Damage & Capacity (4), Power Damage (5), Weapon Damage (6)
Fitness (1), (2), (3)

Weapons:
Falcon AR is the main weapon, modded with extra magazine capacity and extended barrel upgrades. Put in Cryo Ammo or Incendiary Ammo to really pack a punch. Couple the Falcon with either a backup SMG or a pistol. If you’d rather have an SMG as a close combat backup, take a Shuriken X or a Tempest X with the extra clip and increased damage mods, then consider the alternate Quarian Defender level 6 of lightweight SMGs to reduce your cooldown period. (This might be advantageous on higher levels, where you’re likely to get bum-rushed more frequently.) Otherwise, a good heavy pistol can work great; a scoped Carnifex if you want all your attacks to be from a distance. The Falcon has a knockback if you get an in-your-face enemy, but not if it’s a boss. If you’re rushed by multiple enemies, a well-place Falcon shot or Sticky Grenade is a viable emergency play, but I wouldn’t advise it unless you really know how to aim either attack. Probably best to cloak and get the heck outta Dodge.

Strategy:
This is a Quarian guerilla warfare expert. Your main job here is to flank the enemy and deal as much damage to crowds or bosses as possible before they realize you’re there. This can be particularly effective on regular troop spawns in the first two or three waves. Falcon is a great crowd control weapon from medium and even long range; use this to whittle down health of a group, then throw a Sabotage on them to let their backfiring weapons finish the job. (It’s awesome to watch several enemies all drop dead at the same time when they try to shoot back!) Obviously Sabotage is effective against Geth, and the Explosive Hack is a good finishing move in crowds of Geth if your team can target it when the hack is close to wearing off. The backfire is for any standard troopers in a crowd, Geth and non-Geth alike. You can use this approach when you’re a safe distance without even cloaking.

For shielded enemies or bosses, take advantage of the fact that sticky grenade does NOT force you to uncloak. Use the Falcon to weaken them, cloak to get in close, then get a sticky grenade either on the boss or in the middle of the group. Then because of extended cloak duration you should still have enough time to get a Sabotage in before buggering out (and you could even take a last Falcon potshot if you’re feeling brave or if your cloak wears off, but not if there are multiple enemies shooting at you).

With nothing in Fitness you will be very squishy, so greater reliance is placed on Tactical Cloak than on Fitness to get out of a hairy situation. Be cognizant of Sabotage’s exTREMEly long cooldown period, so only use this from a distance or if you’re sure you can get to cover long enough to cool down without getting swarmed. Make sure you hit weapons crates every chance you get because of the great reliance on the low capacity Falcon and Sticky Grenades.

N00b Rating: (scale 1-5, 1 is easy for everybody!)
3.5. You’ll need to play it smart, but it shouldn’t be too bad once you get the rhythm down. Keep your attacks from a distance whenever possible. When it’s time to flank and get in close you’ll spend most of your time in the relative safety of your cloak, but you need to be conscious of the duration and the slower cooldown period as a result of the weight of the Falcon. Practice sticking those grenades to the desired target.

Beastie Girl – by CYN

Build Title:

Beastie Girl – by CYN

Class:

Quarian Infiltrator

Power Evolutions:

Tactical Cloak: Damage (4), Recharge Speed (5), Bonus Power (6)
Sticky Grenade: (1), (2), (3)
Sabotage: Backfire (4), Explosive Hack (5), Tech Vulnerability (6)
Quarian Defender: Weapon Damage (4), Headshots (5), Weapon Damage (6)
Fitness: Durability (4), Shield recharge (5)

Weapons:

Anything light. I like the mantis or the carnifex. The avenger is also good. If you want a bigger gun, take Damage and capacity at rank 4 on Quarian Defender. If you want to snipe, think about sniper damage on cloak and drop fitness (4) and (5) for points in sticky grenades (since you’re farther from the action). Whatever you do, try to keep moderate to high power cooldowns with this build. At about 150-160% cooldown you can sabotage twice per cloak cycle.

Strategy:

The goal of this build is to have a Quarian Infiltrator that is good against enemies that aren’t the geth, which means boosting backfire and working with a team to take advantage of tech vulnerability. You use the relatively large radius of sabotage to paint targets for your teammates to bombard with double damage tech powers. When enemies fight back, their first shots explode in their faces. Sabotage has a long cooldown, so always cloak before you use it. Huck grenades into groups, but not until after you sabotage. Sabotaging enemies that are immune to backfire (brutes, ravagers, banshees, all geth) is still worthwhile because they’ll take more damage from powers.

This build is still very good against the geth, but it’s waaay better against Cerberus/Reapers than the standard hack based qinfiltrator. However, it requires a team that isn’t a bunch of chumps, since without other players lobbing tech powers, your tech vulnerability perk goes to waste.

N00b Rating: (scale 1-5, 1 is easy for everybody!)

2. The class isn’t hard to play (cloak, sabotage, pew pew pew, throw nades for good measure), but to really make it worth while you need to find a good team. The more tech powers going off, the better you’re doing. Unfortunately, don’t expect to see your contributions on the scoreboard – sabotage scoring is bugged.

Basic Quarian Infiltrator

mass effect 3 multiplayer quarian infiltrator build

Reaver 102

Build Title:

Basic Quarian Infiltrator

Powers:
Tactical Cloak: Damage(4), Recharge Speed (5), Sniper Damage (6)
Sticky Grenade: (1), (2), (3)
Sabotage: Duration (4), Recharge Speed (5), Berserk (6)
Quarian Defender: Damage & Capacity (4), Headshots (5), Weapon Damage (6)
Fitness: Durability (4), Shield Recharge (5)

Weapons:

Sniper Rifle of your choice and optionally an smg with light weight materials modification if you feel you need a sidearm.

Strategy:

The Quarian Infiltrator is probably the hardest of the infiltrators to play as you lack any ability to assist in lining up head shots or stripping defenses.  You rely on cloak to provide the extra damage to power through defenses on silver and bronze for clean kills, be prepared to have to fire multiple shots on gold to strip defenses. Sticky grenades are just extra damage but they still pack a punch so don’t forget about them, use them to kill dangerous targets such as brutes, phantoms, atlas, and ravagers.

Where the Quarian Infiltrator differentiates its self from the other infiltrators is that it has an ability called sabotage.  Sabotage either causes weapons to backfire, stunning enemies who fire upon a target and dealing a small amount of damage, or hacking, which temporarily converts synthetic enemies to fight for you.  Usage of this power will vary depending on the enemy you face.  For reapers only the cannibals are affected by the backfire making this faction the hardest of the three to face, to beat the reapers you will be relying on cloak and your sniper rifle to see you through.  Against Cerberus everything is affected but avoid wasting it on shielded humanoids as they ignore the backfire if the defenses are up, highly recommend allowing engineers to set up their turrets and then hacking them.  Hacking an atlas is also useful but it lasts for half the duration and will become immune after 3 hacking attempts, use it sparingly to either buy you time or when the moment is right and there are enemies in front of the atlas that is approaching you.  Against Geth everything becomes hacked by this skill, trivializing the faction, hack everything and often but beware of diminishing returns, usually though the enemies should be cleared before this ever becomes a problem just remember what you have hacked do not ignore them for long.

I consider it an all comers build capable of handling Geth on any difficultly.

N00b Rating: (scale 1-5, 1 is easy for everybody!)

4. While its a bit harder to use on Cerberus and Reapers compared to the other infiltrators, the quarian infiltrator trivializes the Geth.  This class requires the ability to headshot consistantly.
