Geth Playmore – by Forceuser7000

Build Title: Geth Playmore

Class: Geth Infiltrator

Power Evolutions:
Tactical Cloak: (4) Damage, (5) Recharge Speed, (6) Bonus Power
Proximity Mine: (4) Damage, (5) Damage Taken
Hunter Mode: (4) Power Recharge, (5) Power Damage, (6) Damage
Networked AI: (4) Weapon Damage, (5) Headshots, (6) Weapon Damage
Advanced Hardware (1), (2), (3)

Weapons:
High level M-300 Claymore with Smart Choke and High Caliber Barrel/Shredder Mod

Gear:
Shotgun Amp or Vulnerability VI for gear. Shotgun Rail Amps or Targetting VIs for weapon, Armor-Piercing for ammo (don’t use Shredder if you use this) and Cyclonic for armor.

Strategy:
This build is designed for maximum damage on Gold runs. It has the advantage of being effective against any enemy.
I see a lot of Geth Infiltrator builds taking the melee route, but on Gold you just end up dying a lot. This build focuses on weapon damage – hence the Claymore. A high level Claymore and high level Smart Choke mod are important here. With these, the Claymore can be used effectively at medium range. I go for the Shredder mod when fighting Cerberus (for those pesky Guardian shields), otherwise the Barrel mod. If you don’t know how to already, learn to reload cancel – quite important with the Claymore.
The key with this build is learning its limits. The strategy explained here is for Gold. The boost from Hunter Mode (which should always be active) and Networked AI give you significant weapon damage straight off. This is enough to one shot kill most unshielded enemies with a head shot. If they’re at longer range you might need to cloak first.
For shielded enemies, you can usually just cloak and head shot if they’re at close range for an instant kill. Otherwise, you can cloak, fire your Proximity Mine, then head shot.
Against bosses it’s similar – cloak, Proximity Mine, head shot, and repeat. The Proximity Mine is key here. With the Damage Taken option, everyone does 20% more damage against the target.
You are quite squishy, so be careful. Stick near your team and take cover between shots. Depending on the map, you don’t actually need to be locked in cover. You can stand out of view, cloak, move out and shoot, and then move back out of view before the enemy can shoot you.
Use Tactical Cloak to move around the map, heal teammates and do objectives as necessary. Bear in mind though that without Duration (4), you don’t have that long cloaked.
If you play it right, you can easily be placing first on Gold with this build.

N00b Rating:
4 – Learning your limits is important. Getting head shots all the time with the Claymore can also take some getting used to.

Chernobly – by tater1031

Build Title: Chernobly – by tater1031

Class: Geth Infiltrator

Power Evolutions:                                                                                                      Tactical Cloak: Duration/Damage (4), Melee (5), Bonus Power (6)
Proximity Mine: Damage (4), Damage Taken (5), Damage (6)
Hunter Mode:  Recharge (4)
Networked AI: Weight Reduction (4)
Advanced Hardware: Melee (4), Martial Artist (5), Melee (6)

Weapons: Primary: Geth Plasma Shotgun with blade and barrel.  Alternate would be the Claymore with blade/barrel and shredder.
Secondary: Geth SMG with lightweight materials and barrel/scope.

Gear: Shotgun amp

Strategy: The general idea with this guy is to do as much damage as possible while cloaked, then hit with a heavy melee.  If using the GPS, you’ll want to charge a shot and cloak.  Then depending on the situation you can either fire/proxy/melee or proxy/fire/proxy/melee.  I like the GPS for this because you can fire a shot while cloaked and you get the Geth weapon bonus, but the Claymore is very effective as well.  With either weapon, make use of reload cancels as much as possible.
You’ll want to pretty much leave Hunter Mode on all the time, unless you get in a sticky situation and need what little shields you have.  This guy is VERY squishy, so situational awareness is key.  You can easily take out a group of 5 to 6 lighter enemies with this guy, but make sure you have a plan of retreat after your melee attack or you’ll be eating the floor.  It takes some trial and error to learn what you can and, more importantly, cannot get away with.  You can easily go in for a melee on boss level enemies, just know when you might need to back off.  A Banshee or Brute with 3 bars is no problem, but sometimes you can get away with going in when they still have half their health.  Usually I just hold the melee and let it pulse, but if they have more health, you may want to hit, roll back, fire, and then hit again.  I would suggest practicing for a while on bronze/silver before taking him into gold.
If you can have a teammate play with the Geth Engineer as your support, it’s even better because the Geth turret will replenish your shields after a heavy melee.
While getting used to this class you will go down, a LOT.  If you don’t have a Geth Engineer supporting you, try to stay kind of close to your teammates.  The last thing you want to do is be “that guy” that keeps going down on the other side of the map.  Once you have this guy mastered though, you’ll be an extremely effective killing machine.

N00b Rating: 4.5 This takes a lot of getting used to, mainly through trial and error.  Having good situational awareness is crucial.  You need to have good aim with a shotgun as well.  The Geth plasma shotgun is a little more forgiving than the Claymore, but require good aim to be the most effective.

Mobile Artillery Unit – by JunkInVWTrunk

Build Title:
Mobile Artillery Unit – by JunkInVWTrunk

Class:
Geth Infiltrator

Power Evolutions:
Tactical Cloak: Damage (4), Recharge Speed (5), Sniper Damage (6)
Proximity Mine: N/A
Hunter Mode: Accuracy (4), Rate of Fire (5), Damage (6)
Networked AI: Weapon Damage (4), Power Damage (5), Weapon Damage (6)
Fitness: Durability (4); Shield Recharge (5); Fitness Expert (6)
Weapons:
Krysae Sniper Rifle X (Barrel V, Extended Clip V).  Armor Piercing is useless.

Gear:
Either shield boosters (You’ll be using Hunter Mode a lot) or Sniper Amps. Headshots are either impossible or really hard to get with this gun, so I don’t bother equipping a booster for that.

Strategy:
For this build to work really well, you’ll need to always have Hunter Mode activated.  With this on, and using cloak, the Kyrsae Sniper Rifle will just destroy anything in your path.  With the extra fire rate via Hunter Mode, by the time you’re through the clip and reloaded, cloak will be ready again.

This sniper rifle was chosen for this build for its massive damage output, 3-clip size and the area of effect.  The trick is to try and aim at the ground in the middle of enemy mobs and you’ll do massive damage to multiple targets at once.  Quite often you’ll be getting double/triple kills, and mopping up enemy spawns before anyone else can damage them. Hence the name “Artillery Unit” since you’ll be sitting still and unleashing a barrage of damage.

I went for all the skills involving weapon damage since you’ll want the sniper rifle to be as beefy as possible.  When done correctly, you’ll mow down mobs instantly.  Can one or two shot almost all non-boss enemies on bronze and even silver.  It will also do really good damage against bosses once their shields are down (The Kyrsae doesn’t better against armor over shields)

This build even handles extremely well on gold.  It still provides excellent crowd control by just decimating the enemies. I’ve almost always broke 100k points on gold with this build.  The trick is to just stay far away to not be the target since Hunter Mode will make you super squishy, even with full Fitness.  Rolling this out on bronze or silver is just silly, but super fun, and could result in receiving hate messages from pub teammates complaining cause you took all the kills J

N00b Rating: (scale 1-5, 1 is easy for everybody!)
2 because it does take some practice with the Krysae since it fires differently than the other sniper rifles, and it’s a bit challenging to not be the target since you are super squishy with hunter mode. But since the Krysae Rifle is really easy to use (It doesn’t involve accurate shots) you’ll be racking up kills in no time.

SlaughterBot – by Rodolfo Sclafani

Build Title: SlaughterBot

Class: Geth Infiltrator

Power Evolution:
Tactical Cloak: (4) Damage, (5) Melee Damage, (6) Sniper Damage
Proximity Mine: N/A
Hunter Mode: (4) Weapon Accuracy, (5) Rate of Fire, (6) Damage
Networked AI: (4) Weapon Damage, (5) Headshots, (6) Weapon Damage
Advanced Hardware: (4) Durability, (5) Shield Recharge, (6) Fitness Expert

Weapons:
  1. Javelin with Sniper Rifle Extended Barrel and Sniper Rifle Spare Thermal Clip
  2. Geth Plasma Shotgun with Shotgun High Caliber Barrel and Shotgun Spare Thermal Clip
You’ll really only need to use these weapons, they work better at higher levels but are still powerful at level I.

Gear: N/A

Strategy:
The basic idea of this build is to maximize damage at the cost of well… everything else. That makes this build arguable the most powerful and squishiest build in the game. It is similar to the Prime Time Build with the exception that it uses both weapons, i.e the Javelin and the Geth Plasma Shotgun for diversity as each weapon has its niche.
As soon as you enter the match, activate Hunter Mode and leave it on for the duration of the match. I must emphasize that this build is very, very squishy. You only have about 400 Health and 600 Shields. It takes very little (even on Bronze) to take you down. That being said it is important to stick close to your teammates so they can revive you if you go down (which you probably will) and stay close to or in cover and watch your shields carefully. I’ve been killed by Swarmers and Husks with this build so it is imperative to be wary of your health.
Also, you may have noticed that with that weapon loadout your power weight penalty is -200% which is terrible. Frankly, this is rarely an issue for this build. This is the reason you skip on Proximity Mine; the only power you will use is Tactical Cloak and as long as you fire shortly after entering your cloak your recharge speed will be only a few seconds. Remember though, that the longer you wait before firing the longer your cloak will take to recharge. If you do end up using up the entire cloak you can expect to wait around 30 seconds before you can use your cloak again. I don’t recommend doing that unless you absolutely have to, i.e. running for your life or trying to save a teammate or trying to accomplish an objective.
Now the great part about this build is when it comes to straight damage it has no equal. This build is able to kill just about anything with laughable ease. The Javelin should be used for long range kills and bosses. You should always cloak then fire (aim for the head if you can), then rinse and repeat. With the recent Javelin buff, the damage output is frankly obscene. You’ll cause between 2500 and 4000 damage per shot with a Cloaked Headshot. With Phasic Rounds III equipped, with Cloak, and on Gold, the Javelin X can destroy a Geth Prime’s shields in one headshot, and well as take out every other Geth infantry unit (Bombers included) in one headshot. Bosses will usually die in 2 – 5 hits depending on the difficulty and whether you shoot them in the head etc. Also, note that the Javelin can fire through cover and Guardian shields.
The shotgun is your backup but you will end up using it as much, sometimes more than the Javelin. When this gun is charged with Tactical Cloak on it will do around 2000 damage, which is also obscene. The important thing to note is that you have to charge it first, then activate the cloak. If you activate the cloak first charging the shotgun will disengage the cloak. Use the shotgun at anything that gets within 20 or so meters from you (that’s roughly the range of your Hunter Vision). You can sometimes shoot enemies in cover by firing slightly outside of the cover while targeting them. The shots will curve inward and hit them. It takes a little practice to get this down but once you do you will be able to kill everything in sight.
What to do if you get backed into a corner with no way out? Heavy Melee! You just have to hope that all the enemies get caught and staggered by your initial blast wave, otherwise you will die. You’d be surprised, however, how often I’ve actually saved myself (and killed all the enemies closing in on me) by using the heavy melee. Also, if you running while cloaked (either to or away from something) and run into an enemy (or several) use the heavy melee while cloaked. You get a 50% melee damage increase ensuring that you’ll be able to continue on your way.
Both weapons work differently than other Sniper Rifles and Shotguns. The Javelin has Enhanced Vision, 1.00 meter innate Armor-Piercing and a slight delay between pressing the trigger and the shot firing. The Geth Plasma Shotgun can be used at range and has slight homing but doesn’t reap the rewards of the Shotgun Shredder mod (hence why it isn’t used) and is most effective when charged fully. Once you’ve gotten use to the feel of both weapons, things will go a little more smoothly. This build will excel even on Gold (as long as you stay in the back and in cover) and deals the obscene amounts of damage that you’d expect from the Geth Infiltrator. I consistently score the highest points with this build.

N00b Rating:
5 – There’s a lot to consider and think about when playing this build, being able to pull it off effectively and without consistently dying will only come with practice. You must be very aware of your surroundings ,and health and shields at all times. The weapons, may, take time to getting used to.

Geth Weapons Expert – by bladedrummer

Build Title:
Geth Weapons Expert – by bladedrummer

Class:
Geth Infiltrator

Power Evolutions:
Tactical Cloak: damage(4), recharge speed(5)
Proximity Mine: Radius (4), Damage Taken(5), Damage(6)
Hunter Mode: Weapon Accuracy(4), Rate of fire(5), Damage (6)
Networked AI: Weapon Damage(4), Headshots(5), Weapon Damage(6)
Advanced Hardware: (1), (2), (3)

If you feel a bit too squishy, drop TC 5 and put Advanced Hardware 4 into Health and Shields.

Weapons:
First of all: only use 1 weapon!!! The best part of this build is that it supports different weapons with great results.
Claymore X with High Caliber Barrel and Shredder Mod. (This is a classic and possibly the best loadout for this build. It shines on gold and platinum).

Piranha X with High Caliber Barrel and Shredder Mod. (You can tear down an Atlas or a Banshee in two reload cycles).

Hurricane, you need to add stability to this weapon to make it really shine so either have a stability mod consumable, use the new recoil mod on the weapon or the new barrage gear with this is great.

Cerberus Harrier with Extended Magazine and Extended Barrel or Armor Piercing mod.
Krysae Sniper Rifle with Extended barrel and AP mod.

Typhoon: Haven’t tried it yet, but I’m guessing it would be godly as well.
As you can see the possibilities are many. Just use a weapon with high dps and you’ll be rocking!
Remember to combine you mods and consumables so that you have at least one AP component to make it even more awesome.

Gear:
Depending on the weapon you equipped. With shotgun use the Shotgun Amp. With the Harrier use the Assault Rifle Amp or the Densified Ammo mod. With the Hurricane use the Barrage Upgrade or SMG Amp. For consumables anything to amplify your weapon damage. If you don’t have an AP mod on your weapon, use AP ammo, otherwise any ammo will do (incendiary, warp, disruptor, cryo). Good choices for consumables are also Adrenaline modules and Power Amplifiers (you will be getting lots of kills from Proxy Mines alone). If you’re using the Hurricane remember to use a stability consumable if you don’t have enough stability through weapon and gear mods.

Strategy:
Turn your Hunter Mode on first thing in every match. Never turn it off. The advantages of Hunter mode play right into this build so just keep it on and use the visibility to anticipate enemies. Use the movement speed and vision for pizza delivery-type objectives.

No matter the weapon of choice, the main cycle is: cloak, poxy mine at the feet or the body of the target, shoot. Get out of the enemy line of fire and repeat.

Proxy mine is a beautiful tool. It debuffs all the targets it hits so that they take +20% damage from all sources! And it stacks!!! On a big enemy, like a Geth Prime, you can manage to stack it up to 40% or even 60%, depending your cooldown and reload speed. A word to the wise: never ever ever fire a Proxy Mine out of cloak, the cooldown will be painfully long. Tactical Cloak overrides the Proxy Mine cooldown when it is fired from cloak.

Try to aim for the head for extra damage. Stay Mobile, move out of line of sight while you wait for cloak cooldown.

With the Claymore, you can fire a non-cloaked shot every other shot using reload canceling. To make it easier just bind another key to the quick use button 7 (medigel). Personally I bind my medigel to the mouse wheel button so that, as soon as my shot is in the barrel, I press the mouse wheel and cancel the rest of the reload animation for a fast second shot.

When using a rapid fire weapon (Piranha, Hurricane, Harrier) remember that sometimes you’ll need to get to cover before emptying the whole clip.

N00b Rating:
4, the fact that you are squishy takes some getting used to.
