Don’t shoot, let em’ burn by Beleghost

Build Title:

Don’t shoot, let em’ burn by Beleghost

Class:

Asari Justicar Adept

Power Evolutions:

Biotic Sphere: (4) Radius (5) Ally Buff (6) Warp Effect
Reave: (4) Radius (5) Damage Reduction (6) The second choice that improves Damage Reduction
Pull: N/A
Asari Justicar: (4) Duration and Capacity (yes I know it’s glitched) (5) Power Damage (6) Assault Rifles
Fitness: (4) Durability (5) Shield Recharge (6) Fitness Expert

Weapons:

Cerberus Harrier at higher ranks with armor mod for guardians as you no longer have pull and armor piercing is always a good idea. This is what makes this awesome and if you don’t use it you are essentially using a double-bubble Asari with wasted points. Now, unlike normal I highly recommend using an ammo ability, specifically the incendiary rounds at either rank 3 or 4. We are focusing on high DPS if you haven’t noticed.

Gear:

Honestly it’s up to you for a gear bonus. I prefer having the biotic amps that give 10% or more damage bonuses. Assault rifle and Shield bonuses are equally welcome as well.

Strategy:

We got rid of pull here to give you a high regen rate with assault rifles, specifically the Harrier so you can spit out fiery rounds of death. This combos like crazy off of reave to bring down enemies faster than you can blink on easier difficulties. On gold you don’t even have much trouble. The basic strategy is engage at medium range. Pick off enemies by splashing your fire rounds and reave onto guys to weaken the enemy. DO NOT WASTE AMMO ON DYING ENEMIES LET THEM BURN. After mopping up a couple guys, work around the enemy and drop a bubble right on their heads and listen to the sweet dubstep of biotic explosions.

Similar to other builds, this works well by placing your bubble ahead of time at choke points, in front of charging bosses, and also over your team when in objectives or when they’re pinned down. Make sure you don’t fire your harrier over cover too often or you WILL get downed by Maruaders. This reminds me of something: AVOID GETH GAMES! Seriously, the Asari Justicar is terrible against synthetics. You go from an amazing damage reduction bonus with reave to NOTHING making you extra vulnerable.

Also do not underestimate how crazy this character can be. She has Batarian-like shields and health with a whopping 40-50% damage reduction! Additionally, if you get good, you can actually ‘slid’ forward, get behind cover, and grab most enemies without even having to fire a shot. I would warn about geth hunters but just avoid geth altogether with this class.

N00b Rating: (scale 1-5, 1 is easy for everybody!)

4 simply because this is only a build for people who have higher level ammo mods and Cerberus Harriers. Beyond that it plays much like a double Bubble with a HUGE bonus to DPS with that assault rifle blazing through incendiary rounds. Also everybody plays way too much firebase white geth, so I highly recommend luring people into your host game, and then change the settings on them. Most people won’t drop although don’t be surprised if some do.

Appearance: I like to make mine look like the stock photo for her. I know it’s the second stripe with red pattern color but I can’t remember the rest. Something purple or a black tinted with purple.

Justicar Commando – by Ayu_Adeptus

Build Title:
Justicar Commando – by Ayu_Adeptus

Class:
Asari Justicar Adept

Power Evolutions:
Biotic Sphere: Radius (4), Damage Reduction (5), Allied Protection (6)
Reave: Radius (4), Recharge Speed (5), Damage & Duration (6)
Pull: N/A
Asari Justicar: Weapon Damage Bonus (4), Headshots (5), Weapons Damage (6)
Fitness: Durability(4), Shield Recharge (5), Fitness Expert (6)

Weapon:
M-96 Mattock with (1) Spare Ammo / Heat Sink, (2) Scope

Any medium range weapon with high accuracy is a good choice since you will not want to get too close for melee attacks with this build. Weapon damage bonuses work in your favour especially aiming for the head. Suggested Mattock has small capacity, so be sure to use the appropriate mods.

Strategy:
This build plays two roles during a mission: first as a capable mid-range attacker, and second as a buff for holding strategic points.

As an attacker, stay mid-range and use Reave and a high accuracy scoped rifle. Area effect of Reave will stagger most targets allowing you or your snipers to take out multiple targets quickly with headshot kills.

Combine with another biotic on the team and Reave will set up or detonate massive biotic explosions. Reave works effectively on larger units even with shields and armor making them great targets for repeated biotic explosions behind enemy lines that can take out numerous smaller targets in the area.

As a defender, set up a biotic sphere to help sustain your grunts during hacks and extraction countdowns. Unlike an offensive Warp Sphere which requires micro-management for placement and detonation, the Buff Sphere allows you to set it and forget it.

The Buff Sphere is also good with inexperienced team mates who will tend to camp in the bubble which makes them a durable target while you take out enemies down range with headshots. Combine Reave spamming with the Sphere, you can stay alive and help take heat away from your mates.

N00b Rating: (scale 1-5, 1 is easy for everybody!)
2 – Requires good coordination with Reave and decent accuracy for subsequent headshots.

Double Bubble Justicar – by micah3sixty

Build Title:
Double Bubble Justicar – by micah3sixty

Class:
Asari Justicar Adept

Power Evolutions:
Biotic Sphere: Radius (4), Damage Reduction (5), Warp (6)
Reave: Radius (4), Recharge (5), Damage, Duration & Reduction (6)
Pull: (1), (2), (3)
Asari Justicar: Duration & Capacity (4), Headshot (5)
Fitness: Durability (4), Shield Recharge (5), Fitness Expert (6)

Weapons:
As far as weapons go, the higher cooldown rate % the better. A mid to high Carnifex, Paladin, Talon or Phalanx should keep your cooldown above 120% and give you plenty of stopping power with extended barrel and pierce mods. Your favorite shotgun or assault rifle can also work if you keep cooldown at or above 100%. Justicars depend on their weapon a bit more than Asari Adepts so max damage per shot while maintaining 100% or higher cool down seems to be a nice compromise.

Strategy:
This build gives you the most utility out of your unique Biotic Sphere, providing a large enough radius to encapsulate your squad with 30% reduced damage for hacking objectives or hunkering down, while still armed with warp and 10% increased damage/weakening to enemies who venture into your bubble, trap, or choke point. Thus the “Double Bubble” build name. Your maxed out health becomes essential when you take your bubble on the offense by spamming a mob with Reave, stacking it if distance to close is great enough, and then dropping your bubble on the Reaved (or Pulled) targets to detonate them.

On low level mobs (non armor/barrier/shield enemies), you can use Pull to lift a central mobster and then Reave them quickly to explode the lifted enemy which damages or kills him while also damaging and reaving the nearby mob which will then likely die before Reave runs out. Stack reave again for double measure if you want. On shielded enemies (non armor/barrier), Reave them, bring down shields with your weapon during cooldown and then Reave again and move on to next target as they will die from the stacked Reave. You could also use a Pull > Reave combo once you bring their shields down or drop your bubble on reaved/pulled mobs to explode up to 3 of them at once.

On Boss enemies (Banshees, Brutes, Primes, Atlases, Ravagers, Phantoms and Pyros) keep spamming Reave while using your weapon during cooldown and if it looks safe enough to charge in, drop your bubble and retreat, you can then detonate them once or sometimes twice depending on whether they get staggered out of the bubble and then enter it again getting warped, and then reave again for more biotic explosions. You can also drop your bubble in a choke point where they will have to go through it to get to you and then fall back to spam reave as the armored target moves through your bubble. If you can keep them in the bubble by circling them so they don’t immediately charge/walk out of it, your team can profit from the 10% damage weakening affect for all of their powers, combos, weapons and such. This tends to bring down the Bosses pretty quickly.

When you see one or more Phantoms, spam Reave while bringing down their barrier with your weapon during cooldown. The reave Radius evolution is very helpful at bringing down Phantom mobs who often travel in packs of 3 or more in Gold waves. As their barriers come down, they sometimes hide or cloak to recharge their barriers, which won’t happen as your stacked reaves continue to eat their life away, while increasing your damage reduction bonus 15% with this build. This is also a good tactic on Pyros who while moving slowly, are always advancing and travel in packs. Keep stacking reave until their health/armor is below 50% and then if distance to target is great enough, move on to other pressing targets. The greater the distance you begin this strategy, the less likely for them to ever reach you.

Defensively, drop your bubble anytime you’re not in a position to charge mobs or bosses to keep your damage reduction as high as 45% when stacked with active Reaves munching on enemies. On Gold, this gives you the luxury and time to duck and cover before Ravagers, Phantoms, Primes, Nemesis’ or Atlases drop you. Ravagers and rockets won’t drop your shields all the way or as quickly but you’ll still want to take cover before being overwhelmed. Having tried the both small and increased radius bubble, I can tell you your team will appreciate the breathing room to hold an objective/location while still being protected. It also allows for more enemies to fit in the bubble-of-death for increased damage and warp combos.

The Warp bubble evolution also seems to benefit from deterring enemies from entering or approaching from that path, sometimes routing them a different direction or piling up on the other side for easier Reave/Combo/Weapon spamming. Use this to your advantage to somewhat block or discourage enemies from sneaking up a back entrance behind you, but don’t ignore that flank entirely as sometimes they do still go through the bubble to get to you on a set path.

N00b Rating: (scale 1-5, 1 is easy for everybody!)
3. The Justicar is a Gold/Rare character so she may be difficult to unlock, plus the play style is significantly different from other Adepts that there is a learning curve to playing to her strengths. Going offensive with the bubble also exposes you to a lot more enemy fire, melees and insta-kills which takes practice knowing when your chances of charging in to drop your bubble are safe enough to make it out alive. That said, the high health/barrier of this Justicar build, plus the 30% damage reduction inside the bubble and 15% damage reduction from Reave give you a lot of forgiveness survive-ability to make mistakes with. Practice this build in Silver several rounds if you’re not willing to risk in Gold, or if you don’t have a group of friends to help carry you through Gold while learning the play style.

The Ardat-Yakshi – by Mr. Wonderful

Build Title:
The Ardat-Yakshi – by Mr. Wonderful

Class:
Asari Adept - Justicar

Power Evolutions:
Biotic Sphere: Radius (4), Enemy Weakness (5), Warp Effect (6)
Reave: Radius (4), Recharge Speed (5), Damage and Duration (6)
Pull*: Radius* (4), Expose* (5), Duration and Combo* (6)
Asari Justicar: Duration and Capacity (4), Power Damage (5)
Fitness*: (1), (2), (3)

*Some people don’t seem to like Pull very much, so for you guys, leave pull at 3 and max out Fitness for Health and Shields.  I use pull on all the unarmed enemies to damage their shielded/barriered neighbors with the pull/reave combo (so that’s why I ranked it up to 6) and then teammates can finish them off.

Weapons:
Anything with a high recharge rate.  I like the Avenger (stability/pierce) due to the rapid fire rate, but you likely won’t need to use it much – especially if you have another biotic on your team.

Strategy:
The Ardat-Yakshi build centers on abilities to suck the life forces from your opponent.  Reave and the Warp Effect and the Biotic Sphere makes this work nicely.

The basic strategy of this build is to place your sphere in a choke point at the beginning of the round (with the duration powers, it lasts almost a minute) and watch the chaos.  While it is not the most lethal biotic explosion, the Sphere/Reave combo has a high area of effect (and if you knock an enemy out of your bubble and they step back in, they are vulnerable to another Biotic explosion immediately).

While this build is effective as the only biotic on the team, it is devastating with a normal Asari as a teammate.  The Reave/Warp/Throw combos have already been established with the Drell/Asari mix, but using the sphere at choke points make this even more lethal allowing you to cover multiple angles with just two biotics.  When the sphere goes down, you can either cast it on yourself (for a minimal damage reduction) or race out to place it in a closer choke point – as long as you can make it back alive.  With two biotics, you can take down large enemies very quickly (and as long as you keep spamming Reave, your other biotic teammates can keep throw/warping them and create even more chaos).

N00b Rating: (scale 1-5, 1 is easy for everybody!)
3.5. While not the most difficult build to play with, you are still squishy and need to be aware of your surroundings at all times.  Also, without the ability to detonate all of your own biotic setups (grenades or throw), you will survive better with a nice team of biotics.

Have fun and enjoy the fireworks!
-Mr. Wonderful

Appearance:
Black with Gold accents would look like Morinth…but I haven’t opened enough cards to see where the highlights show up yet, so good luck and enjoy!

Justicar Tower D – by fbi_TheNews

Build Title:
Justicar Tower D – by fbi_TheNews

Class:
Asari Justicar

Power Evolutions:
Biotic Sphere: (4) Radius (5) Enemy Weakness (6) Warp Effect
Reave: (4) Radius (5) Damage Reduction (6) Damage and Duration
Pull: N/A
Asari Justicar: (4) Duration and Capacity (5) Power Damage (6) Assault Rifles
Fitness: (4) Durability (5) Shield Recharge (6) Fitness Expert

Weapons:
Revenant (Stability & Capacity) Phalanx (Pierce and Capacity)
Equipment: This build works best with power efficiency, cryo ammo, and a AR damage mod (though not required to work).

Strategy:
This build focuses on holding key choke points to relieve pressure on your team. Drop biotic sphere in a congested area and rain bullets down range to keep the enemy suppressed. When enemies enter the sphere drop reave to cause biotic explosions. You will want to take cover a fair distance from your sphere and use it as a defensive wall. If you get pushed back drop your sphere in a new location and retreat to cover. With this strat you can easily hold a choke point by yourself on gold. This strat also works very well for geth gold on fire base white.

N00b Rating: (scale 1-5, 1 is easy for everybody!)
2. The only real tricky part of this build comes when rushing in to re deploy sphere
